As a group of foodies who visited a deli on route, we found the kitchen to be well equipped. Fantastic duvets on the beds kept us cozy in freezing temperatures. The host was friendly and full of local information. Communication from the owner was good. We enjoyed the beautiful views and took some great photos. The accommodation felt like home from home, with clean, comfy beds and a hot, powerful shower. We were even provided with complimentary Cumbrian fruit loaf on arrival.
Recommend this hotel.

Absolutely perfect in every way! the location was stunning, with breathtaking views from every window. the property was impeccably clean and well-equipped, making our stay extremely comfortable. the spacious open-plan lounge and dining room was beautifully furnished with cozy leather sofas, perfect for relaxing after a day of hill walking. We also loved the fact that there were plenty of paths right outside the property for us to explore.
Honestly, there was nothing we didn't like about our stay. If we had to nitpick, perhaps an additional low light on the gable end would have been helpful when returning in darkness, but that's really stretching for a negative.
